Crashing in Win 10 64bit

Post by guptaas »

Updated 0.89b from October 2015 crashes every time I click on Homepage, after Online > Custom. This is without any changes to default settings on a fresh install and prior to even selecting any files.
Didn't have this problem with the previous version of 0.89b.
Platform WIn 10 64 bit. Clean reinstall in an alternative folder led to same.
Event viewer output:

Thanks for your excellent work. Going to try a few times and then maybe retry 0.88.

It has to be IE related but cant be sure, will have to get my hands on a Windows 10 install and have a look.

I agree. It seems to happen when advertising related garbage starts to load. I'm not familiar w IE but will see if there are global options in IE to suppress redundant matter.

I disabled everything I figured is not needed in IE, which is not my browser for regular use anyway. This seems to have worked. I've had a couple of crashes, but for the most part all is well.

Thank you for reporting!
As soon as I can get a Win10 install I will investigate a bit more.
