Encode / Decode Option

Post by acopicaco »

Dear all,

I would like to trasform .flac files into .mp3.
But as soon as I click on the "Encode to mp3" button I receive the following message: I/O error 103.
After the window opens but the Configuration scrolling tab is empty and if I click on the Edit button I receive the following message: Access violation at address 00F0F0F2 in module "TheGodFather". Read of address 00006517.

After that I must kill the GodFather process because it's not possible to exit the encoding window due to messages simlar to the previous one.
This also happens if I want to decode to .wav

I'm using Windows Vista and I have this problem with the 0.88 and 0.89b version.

Thanks in advance.

Can you edit the encoding presets (File/Encoding presets/L.A.M.E ) ?

Yes,

I can configure my own preset.
But even if the standard preset only I have the same errors.

Internally the program is using pipes to handle the output I think that's the most probable source of this error.
I never tried it and I cannot reproduce the error in Vista, but please have a look here http://winwiki.org/delphi-io-error-103/ there is a utility that supposedly helps with this issue.
