Unicode/Album Art Toast problem...

Hey,
Firstly thanks for such an amazing programme! It is most excellent.
I have a lot of Japanese tracks. Sometimes if I click update, the ID3v2 tags will change into
? characters. So I changed the encoding from ISO to UTF-8.
But when I do this and I embed album art, it does not show in the file folder as it normally does. When I change back to ISO encoding, it changes to the new art immediately. Is there a fix for this?
I'm using Windows Vista.
