What Do The Scripts Do?

Can you provide an explanation of what the built-in scripts do? I see a list of scripts in a couple of different areas but because I don't understand them and can't always make out what they do by their titles I could use a description of what they are for and how to run them. I work mostly in the Custom tab under Edit.

I might add a description for them to display along side the file name in the menu but for the time being their names are rather self explanatory.
