Why doesn't work the Esc key in every case ?

Post by hopalongrock »

I found that when TGF opens a a dialog (a small window), I can always close it with Alt F4, but only some cases with Esc.
For example in case of Tools / Lyrics Pictures, in grid: column presets, manage scripts, presets in in template : only Alt F4 works while in case of Tools / Paste tag, select columns, full tag edit, Properties Esc woks too.

Can you change this to Esc work in all cases?

Some windows behave differently yes, but ESC could be made to work on all of them, will keep in my todo list for now.

Thank you!

To solve this problem, years ago under XP I used an autohotkey script to create hotkeys for earlier TGF, but now under Windows 10 TGF looks immune to AHK, the hotkeys don't work.
I have no problems with other programs

I found if I run Autohotkey in admin mode, the Esc hotkeys work and issue Alt F4 closing the window.
I don't have hotkey for Esc in the main window, class TfrmMain.
So problem solved, you don't have to modify to handle Esc as Alt F4, although it would work for everybody.

Thank you for the update, I will keep this in my todo list, having ESC to close all dialog windows is more streamlined for the end user
