No matter what fields I select for columns, I can never get artist (gtag.artist). I always get the album artist in the field. I've tried artist, original artist, artist (fav), artist (alt), artist (genre), artist (style), album artist and artist (rating). None will show the artist field.

This ONLY happens if my albumartist field is "Various Artists". Otherwise it works. When AA is VA, so is artist.

Just checked the code and it seems that if there is data in the Albumartist field then it is used to populate the artist field.
This was done basically to avoid having 1 song albums for various artist compilations.
I could add an option to alter this behavior or I could just a 'songArtist' field in the database

Ok,either solution works for me.
