I've got collection of CD and DVD discs with MP3 and FLAC files... most are tagged correctly but some are not.

An example is a set of FLAC files from a 5-CD set... but the DiscNumber was not properly tagged. Cataloging them with the GodFather, of course, results in song entries without DiscNumber.

Since these files are already on optical media I cannot simply update the tags.

Is there any means (via the GUI or Scripting) of updating the database entries created by scanning a disc like that? I'd like to be able to update the data to reflect the DiscNumber.

You can use 'Tools/batch Replace...' select the fields you want and the value for them, also make sure you uncheck the second button to not try to update the files themselves.
