I am still struggling with the new UI after working for years with an older version.

Depending on tags option for unchecked fields the content of unchecked fields is deleted or changed when updating tags.

Tags options
Ignore (leave blank in the grid) = Deleted
Save = Changed (e.g. Album trimmed to 30 characters)

When scanning folders there seems always to be a trim on long content. So far I have seen it on Title and Album.
Is there any option to adjust this?

Please make sure that in Options/tags/ID3 the read order is ID3v1->ID3v2 so your ID3v2 tags are not overwritten with the v1 ones.

OK, thanks! That was the problem. Before I understood ID3v1->ID3v2 in the way of ID3v1 replacing ID3v2 but now I got it.
