Default folder define

Post by hopalongrock »

It could be used, when at start the folder selected in the previous session in the folder tree doesn't exist already (path variable in ini file). As I see, TGF uses in this case the desktop folder (1st folder in the tree).
This could be a separate setting or the 1st, ... folder of the "favorite folders" or the upper folder of the .

It would be very useful, because in most cases I edit usually in a subfolder, then move/delete the files/folder.

The program could search the folder hierarchy and go up one at a time till a match is found then default to desktop

For example the current folder in folder tree is D:\Xnap\DOWNLOAD\xxx
I delete this folder from command line, and exit TGF and restart.
However, although D:\Xnap\DOWNLOAD, D:\Xnap, D:\ folders exist, TGF goes at restart to the desktop
This was so always, in all versions.
Then something is bad here.

Maybe the Hungarian language of windows folders causes this ?
