- to compensate for rename in Manual Edit.
This would be specially useful in row mode when we want rename those rows only, we have worked or modified (selected). This way we could avoid to remake the same selections in the rename screen.

I was thinking about removing the rename panel altogether and do everything from one place but a lot of unique functionality would have been lost.

I have to say, I'm very sorry, that you removed Manual Edit, modifying tracks one by one was much easier there.
For example, I use a very big replacement matrix, and tgf showed the changes with bold letters. in the file name field too. I saw immediately what happens, sometimes I had to change the replacement matrix, I updated and renamed only, when the values were good.
I've used the Tag screen mostly, when I wanted operate on a whole album, etc. a common task.
Because now only Tag exist, Manual Edit functions have to be merged in Tag. I think, you made this almost completely, but a little refinement is needed.
