I always have to think about this part of screen.
For me it would more logical, to place the "select image" and the "append" button right to the picture selection - see the attachment.

Re: Tags fields are listened empty (but they aren't)
Set Parameter -> Basic Fields -> Unchecked Fields to "Use formatting & save". The default is - I think - Ignore (Leave blank in the grid).

Re: Tags fields are listened empty (but they aren't)
Where don't you see tags, only file name ?
There is no Manual panel, only Tag panel - here now the upper part is the grid, with file name, and tags (track#, artist, ...), the lower part is for the (scan) template (what fill into grid columns) and parameters (options for working here).

Re: Translating filename into tags
You say: The filename format is: Track# - Title - Artist (e.g. '01 - Hero - When I Came Home.mp3') What is the title ? Hero or When I Came Home ? Maybe you could use Track# - Artist - Title Be sure to select "Formatting" -> "Variables" -> "Use separators", specify the correct hyphen, (en)dash, (em)...

Field modifying/displaying problem
I can reproduce this any time: Scan a folder, modify in one file the track or artist or title or album field (I tried these), but don't press Enter, don't update. Watch this file: Re-scan: the field is empty, and every rescan shows it empty. If I click to the empty field, it contains "Skip". Re-scan...

Re: tgf truncates properexception (Proper Case Exceptions)
Thanks.
I forgot to mention, that this type of string truncation occurred in 0.71 beta 2, in replacement matrix. I corrected this in 0.71 by creating more shorter replacement matrix strings.
Maybe this occurs in the current 0.80 version too.

tgf truncates properexception (Proper Case Exceptions)
option string when starts, shows this truncated option, and saves this. (too long ?) If I extend the Proper Case Exceptions, tgf works and saves well, but next time starting truncates it again. From 2086 character truncates to 2047. I attached the original and truncated ini file. The same problem a...

Re: Having a problem with file tokens
If you specified " - " (hyphen, U+002D, 0x2D) in Use separator(s), please be sure that the file name "04 - The Beatles - Things We Said Today.mp3" really contains this separator, change the file name and write " - " where it is needed. Maybe the second separator is not an hyphen or minus, but an en...

A new Format function/button would be great !Dimitris wrote: Could use another mode to just format the grid without reading the values from the tag fields though.

Re: Applying Case
First you have to set the options you like in the 'formatting/case' then select 'use case' in the tag options. Now you can use the tag panel to scan and update your files take note of the parameters there to have the job done with unchecked fields just select 'use formatting and save' Many times I ...

Bold letters in changed fields/filename in Tag
The enabled Use formatting options (in Rename and Tags) caused Manual Edit to write new (changed) fields/filename in bold letters.
Now that Manual Edit has gone, it would be desirable to implement this in the Tag panel.
It's very funny now: TGF shows the old filename and the new fields.

Re: Customizing Columns
Does Manual Edit's upper part only look like a grid ? It's another component ? It's not editable, fields are in other order, but left, right, up, down is the same.Dimitris wrote: I am planning this its not as easy as it seems because of the component used ( has bugs ) but will try to figure it out.

Re: Comments displaying difference
I would like only simply delete all User & other fields. The "clear all user fields" button is good, but I have to look into all files to click on. A script would be better for all file, but it isn't automatically started. That's why I thought to an "clear all user fields" option, for example next t...

Comments displaying difference
Tgf 080 displays in Tag / comment field only the exact "comment" named field (COMM frame). The previous versions displayed here sometimes a multiline comment. In the case what I see the comment field is empty, no comments are displayed in the new version. The fields displayed here in the old version...
