If I return to the field in the Tag grid, I have to go input again and position the the cursor, to enter characters to the proper place, and  don't clear the original text with the newly inserted text. I checked the flac files you send, they have 'ORGANIZATION=Elektra' as a pair of field name/value I use 'PUBLISHER=Elektra' . Remove is better than Ignore - and I think that the unchecked field input has to be forbidden.

I use the ini file, (and the parameters so) from the 0.71 version, and it was the same in 0.80beta1 too. Unchecked & Other Fields is : 'Ignore' and Apply to all fields. But already in the 0.80beta1 I saw, that even with Ignore, tgf saved all modifications, even in unchecked fields, and displayed all...

- to compensate for rename in Manual Edit.

This would be specially useful in row mode when we want rename those rows only, we have worked or modified (selected). This way we could avoid to remake the same selections in the rename screen.

In the old version Manual Edit retained the sorting of fields, Tag dropped it pressing the Scan button. In the new version Tag drops the sorting.
Please change this to retain the sorting clicking on Scan, or make an option for the working, or make two Scan button - one with sorting, one without it.
