Delete ALL Tags doesn't
Due to the way I rip CDs, my FLAC files have ID3v2 tags on them (that is my problem, not yours) When I open them in The Godfather (0.89), it complains that I need to delete the ID3v2 tags from the files. OK, fine. When I go to Tools->Delete->All Tags, it appears to do something. But when I re-look a...

AllMusic & Ad Blocker
Well this is annoying. I am running Win10 and TGF 0.89b-Aug26 I go to AllMusic (Custom, #amg.so) and 2 unpleasant things happen. 1) An interstitial pops-up and informs me an Ad Blocker is detected and I need to disable it. I can't move on from there. 2) The scroll bars disappear in the viewing windo...

Why is this FLAC file invalid?
New re-installed PC. 1st rip with EAC etc and trying to tag with TGF 0.81 TGF says all my FLAC files are invalid. VLC plays them. Lame re-encodes them to MP3 just fine. TGF says the MP3s are fine. TGF will not rename or re-tag the FLACs. So, what is wrong with this file: http://bit.ly/QN2Kgw ? I als...

Why is this file officially invalid but is still read?
I swear TGF used to be able to read M4B/M4A files, correct? I am not going mad here? Every time I go ages without using a feature and then I try to use it again, I wonder what special needs of the feature I forgot. . Anyhow, as of late both TGF 0.79b2 and 0.81b3 have been telling me every M4B file I...

Re: BUG: MP4/M4A/M4B tag edits lose the pictures
Each file is about 89Mb. So, I am not able to mail them to you. Each file was created via "Chapter & Verse" which joins M4Bs and adds chapter markers. TGF 0.80 is running on a WinXP SP3 32-bit machine TGF 0.71b2 (not sure why I thought it was 0.79) is running on a Win7 Ult 64-bit The original file ...

BUG: MP4/M4A/M4B tag edits lose the pictures
I have noticed in both 0.80 & 0.79 if you edit a *.m4b file that includes a picture, you'll lose the picture. The Godfather will correctly read the tag. The Godfather will correctly edit the "text" tags, but The Godfather will delete the embedded picture from the *.m4b tag, even if you didn't want t...

Re: Copy tags between file types
You can use the Copy/Paste tags feature in the tag panel fir this. By selecting row mode for the grid you can paste common values from one file to multiple ones. There are many options as what to paste over to the new files also. Thanks! Worked well in 0.80. Also figured out how to make it work in...

Copy tags between file types
I want to copy tags from an AAC (*.m4a) file to a MP3 file. Of course, I could do it manually via a series of cut-&-pastes, but ... 1) Is this possible to do this automatically with The Godfather? If not, thoughts on it as a feature? I know it has no good UI to glom on to. 2) I also thought about a ...

Req: Restore old "Tag" UI
1) I thank you so very very much for coming out with a new version of this program. I have used it for years and love it and recommend it. Thank you again. but ... 2) While I appreciate the efficiency of the new "Tag" UI interface, I don't really like it nor find it useful. Even if you choose not ...
